How Android users can send SMS on iOS

I have a Samsung galaxy s2 and an iPad. That means I have two different operating systems to deal with. Sometimes it’s hard having to transfer music, contacts and other forms of media from device to device. I’m trying minimise the amount of transferring I have to do.

About a week ago, I started wondering if there was a way to send text messages from an iPad, using my androids SIM card. I searched the iOS App Store for text messaging apps until I found aMessage. (more…)

Three great educational apps for iPad

I believe the iPad is a great utensil in the field of education. For that reason, I have put together a list of three educational apps that can be used to educate you and the people around you. I suggest you buy these apps, they are worth it!

Solar walk – $2.99

If you are interested in space, you have to download this app. Solar walk lets you easily navigate your way through the galaxy. You are able to read information on important planets and stars, but also marvel at the amazing beauty of our solar system. What I love about this is app is the amazing design and ease of use. It is so interesting and enjoyable to simple navigate from planet to planet, gathering useful facts along the way. There are other space apps out there, but this has to to be the best one.

What will make me use Google hangouts?

At Google’s most recent developer conference, Google I/O, we saw the long time rumour of a messenger service come to fruition. Google calls it, Hangouts.

Google Hangouts is officially Google’s primary messaging application. Hangouts also integrates Google’s video calling service. Hangouts was a great idea, it makes it easy for people to use Google services to message their friends. However, it could be better.

Three awesome books

Hey guys, I’ve decided to put together a list of three of some of my favourite books. If you like these sort of blog posts, please tell me! I plan on doing a lot more lists in 2013. Expect a lot of top fives!

To sell is human by Daniel Pink

This is the book I am reading now. To sell is human is a nonfiction book about sales. This book reveals the truth about jobs and career choices. After reading it you’ll now how to persuade and influence others. Daniel pink provides so much evidence to back up the concepts he explains, you’ll have no choice but to believe them! (more…)

I’m back!

Hey guys, I’ve been away for a while and Im finally coming back. I took some time off just so I could catch my breath. I’m back now and ready to start another term of tech. During the break, I was able to think up some new ideas for blog posts! Stay tuned!

Facebook home?

Recently, Facebook announced their launcher on android, Facebook Home. Home has some pretty good features, and is great for Facebook fanatics. Despite that, I see it as something I will install, and then never use again.

Facebook home’s “lock screen” is essentially your news feed. I have a problem with this, my news feed is usually full of stuff I don’t care about. There aren’t even a lot of people on my friends list that actually post pictures or things I care about. My newsfeed consists of things my friends have liked, which is usually just stupid memes and videos that I will never watch.

Apps of the week

Apps of the week is a weekly roundup of some awesome apps that I have found on both the App Store and the Google Play Store. So lets get started!

Fearless wheels HD – $1.99
This game is so simple, it’s fun. You play as a little bike rider in a race against other little bike riders. That’s the only way I can explain it, it’s that simple. However, this game is incredibly fun and addictive. Basically, it is the perfect casual game for any iPhone or iPad user. (more…)
